1978 BMW R100/7

Built for former BMX Pro racer Ken Springs (@drkenspring), this BMX inspired R100/7 was built on a tight budget.

The Long Wheel Base Rear Subframe was cut and shortened. A diamond stitched leather seat was upholstered by Street Sounds, and a custom exhaust was fabricated with two 18” Cone Engineering Straight Core Mufflers by Coffey Fabrication. Renthal Handlebars replaced the stock BMW bars and a Dime City Cycles 2.5” Black Speedometer was mounted asymmetrically to the upper triple clamp.

Paint to the Tank, headlight bucket and side covers was done by Landon West. Low profile turn signals and tail light mounts were fabricated and powdercoated in house. Electrical upgrades include an Omega 450 Watt Charging system from Motorrad Elektrik and a custom generator light built into the upper triple. Dunlop K70 tires and some old Hutch BMX pegs Ken had laying around add the final touch.
